Hello everyone! First I want to thank everyone in advance with advice/recommendations and all the help you provide. I will be going to in November. I want to visit, then go to Rancabuaya Beach and from there, head to Yogijakarta.

I have several questions i would like to ask: 1 - How far is Bandung to Rancabuaya? Google Maps says its about 2 hours to Cidaun, Jawa Barat which is the closest town to Rancabuaya. But people have told me it is really about 5 hours drive. 2 - I wish to stay the night near Rancabuaya, any suggestions on where and costs? 3 - What would be the most cost effective method of transportation from Bandung to Rancabuay?

4 - is there a way to get from Rancabuaya to Yogijakarta? If so, what would be the best method of transportation? Again, thank you for your time helping me by answering my questions. Hi, Surfing the net the locals say its about 5 hrs journey and even more if you sight-see.

I' ve journeyed from to 60-70 km and it takes about 1 snd half hrs; and from Bandung to Pangandaran beach, further south-east different route, roughly 200km about 6.5 hrs. A lot of the rural roads are hilly winding and sometimes narrower. You can google u- tube Rancabuaya too. The usual vehicles for hire in Bandung are the Toyota Avanza, Unser, Suzuki APV; bigger ones sre Innova and Isuzu vans etc.

We took the Isuzu van 10 seater to Pangandaran beach for 900 k rupiah per day inclusive of fuel so going to Rancabuaya should cost slightly less maybe 800k / day. However i've lost touch with the tour co. Hope this helps a bit:-).
